Interest Rates
Where do you rank on the interest rate chart?
A quick analysis of your balance sheet can show you
where on the interest rate pyramid scale your company ranks. A slight change on the scale
can mean hundreds of thousands of dollars in savings to your company in interest rate
expenses.
Almost all deals are based on the "Prime
Rate" or "Like Term Treasuries" or some other base of reference. "Like
Term Treasuries" refers to the term of the deal (for example thirty-six months) and
the corresponding interest rate of the same term. Your interest rate depends on two
factors. The first is the quality and condition of your balance sheet. The second is the
rate you can negotiate with your finance company or bank. Both factors can change quickly,
but Richard Franklin Co. can help you save by negotiating the best rate available from
many different equipment finance companies.
